My name is Maria Lina Jacobina - my grandma always called me Mary Lee. I live in Brasil and was born in Rio de Janeiro. My mother was born in Chicago in
november, 30, 1912 and died 2005, january 17 and her name was ALICE HELLEN STOJAK.

Her parents: PETER STOJAK - born in Austria, Viena (?) and came to Chicago...
MARIE STOJAK - born in Montreal, Canada - in july 6, 1894 and died in July 11, 1965

My grandma MARIE STOJAK was born BALAWAIDER and her parents were JACOB BALAWAIDER and ROSE GITLER; she said that her mother was german
and her father came from Ucrania.

PETER STOJAK and MARIE STOJAK had 4 children: 1) my mother ALICE nov.30,1912 died jan 17, 2005
2) HENRY STOJAK 1914 died 2 years later - Spanish flew epidemie?
3) EDWIN MARIEN STOJAK 1916 died july , 1957 from stroke
4) MILDRED FRANCIS STOJAK sept 1, 1918 and STILL ALIVE

My grandma MARIE came to BRASIL with her children in the ship VOLTAIRE in 1927 and never came back again with problems with the visa passports: she was Canadian and all children were from Chicago, USA. They never saw the father PETER STOJAK again. I'm so sorry that I don't know anythig about my grandfather! The only thing I know that he was from as important family from Viena and that he didn't want to be a priest, so he went to America.

My grandma had a sister and a brother. The sister I don't know the name, but her brother was WALTER BALAWAIDER and he was adopted with the name FOX: WALTER FOX. He was a priest and played the violin and later he fell in love and married KATLEEN(?), living in Chicago. I have the correspondence and adress from them. They had children, but I have to see the correspondence to tell you about.

ALICE, my mother, married ANTONIO FERREIRA JACOBINA FILHO and I was born in August 18, 1946; and I have a daugther JULIANA JACOBINA born in MAY 12, 1976. She needs special care. Now she is 29.

EDWIN, my uncle, married LIVINA DE ALMEIDA CUNHA STOJAK and had 3 children: 1) VANIA; 2) ELISA; 3) EDWIN (all married with children)

MILDRED, my aunt, married ALVARO NEVES DE MIRANDA and had a boy with the same name ALVARO NEVES DE MIRANDA FILHO (filho means Junior) and he was born in Sept 7, 1957.

For today is enough. I'll have to complete the dates from Edwin, but this is easy. I hope we can help to know moe about our roots. I was very happy when I saw the sight. I have search a lot but never discover anythig about. And when we find the cost is high to look for the genealogy.
